INO is the teen ministry here at Lighthouse Baptist Church for 7th-12th graders.
INO is not only our name, but it is also our motto and our mission. It stands for In Not Of. Jesus speaks of this in John 17 when He prays for us to be in the world but not of the world.
We believe this is exactly the emphasis teenagers need today. They need to know that they are in the world for a reason. Every teenager needs to know he has a purpose; he is in the world to reach the world.
Just to be in the world, however, is not enough. We must be in the world and yet not of the world. The truth is, we cannot fulfill our purpose without purity.
We must be distinctively Christian. We must live pure in an impure world so we can accomplish our purpose of reaching it for Christ.
INO meets every Wednesday at 7:00 PM for our teen service. This is a great time of games, skits, singing and a powerful message from God's Word aimed at the issues teenagers face today. Afterwards, we hang out and play pool or X-Box, get something from the INO Cafe and just have a great night.
We often have hang-outs on Saturday night to give the teens a chance to have fun with their youth group. All teenagers are welcome to come play ball or hangout in the teen building and play pool, ping-pong, X-Box or any of the other games available. Our snack bar, the INO Cafe, is also open during the hangout.
We also have an awesome calendar of activities ranging from camps, conferences, and revival meetings, to rafting, Braves games, paintball, Six Flags, and an incredible ski trip each year.
It is our hope and prayer that if you have any teenagers, you will let them come be a part of the incredible INO ministry here at Lighthouse Baptist Church.
